Our Staff

  • Helen Harris (PGCE Primary) – Pre-School manager since 2011, Helen has 21 years experience in education and four children of her own, ranging from 8 years to 16 years old. Helen particularly enjoys messy play, story time and Maths activities. Helen is our SENDCo,  trained in Makaton and our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Suzanne Rogers – Deputy manager (Cache Level 3 Diploma) Sue has been at Ickford Pre-School for 11 years and is Zoe's mum (see below). Sue loves the physical education side of pre-school life and often uses the children's slide. She isn't so keen on glitter... Sue is one of our Safeguarding Designated Officers.
  • Ellen Chapman – Pre-School and After School Club supervisor (Cache Level 3 Diploma) Ellen has been with us for 11 years and is 'chef extraordinaire' on top of her childcare duties. Ellen is also one of our Safeguarding Designated Officers and trained in Makaton.
  • Bethany Chapman – Pre-school and After School Club assistant (Early Years Level 3, Child Psychology L3), Beth joined the team 9 years ago. Beth is a Harry Potter fanatic and loves sharing books with the children.
  • Una Boyles - ​Pre-school assistant (NNEB) Una has worked here for 10 years. With four sons ranging from 9 to 18 years old, nothing fazes Una where noise, mud and mess are concerned!
  • ​​Zoe Rogers (working towards Level 3) -  the youngest member of our team, Zoe joined us as an assistant in June 2020 - but, as Sue's daughter and an ex-pre-schooler herself, Zoe possibly has the most in-depth knowledge and understanding of our setting and ethos! 
  • Sarah Robinson - Pre-school/Breakfast/After School Club Assistant (working towards L3) - another parent of two former pre-schoolers, Sarah joined us in 2021 with previous experience in EY and KS1, in particular SEN work.
  • Jackie Snoek (L2 Childcare) - the most long-serving member of the team (originally working in the Village Hall!), Jackie returned as a volunteer after retiring from years in Special Education. She helps out on Tuesdays and when needed elsewhere and is incredibly popular with staff and children for her enthusiasm and caring nature. Jackie has six grown-up children and twelve grandchildren.
  • Ally Rogers - Finance and Administration. Part of the Ickford Pre-School family since her eldest child joined the setting in 2021, Ally made the jump from parent to staff member in 2022. Ally has two young sons, one of whom attends pre-school currently. 
  • Kelly Lacey - Childcare Assistant (L2). Kelly recently joined us following her daughter's move to school and has experience as a teaching assistant and lunchtime supervisor in Primary Education. 
  • All staff have been Paediatric First-Aid and Safeguarding trained.
